Sorta, a year and a half ago I was at a night club and stayed till it closed. We all came out at 3 a.m. and I could find my truck. I told them where I parked it and they (friends) kept saying it's here somewhere.wormicon 4 days later, the police called me to tell me they found it. The next day, I got full coverage insurance. Exactly two weeks later, my engine blew up on my way home from work. You wouldn't believe how quickly a vehicle burns :D I ended out ahead in the long run. That's the only burglary I have experienced.

Leena and Mason are crated at night, so they couldn't do anymore than bark.

Shy Boxer

Pam my baby boxer Molly 8-months is afraid of everybody
when we are not home. My lawn men have commented
on her running away from the window at top speed when they arrive. My pool man was once outside when Molly was out
and she ran away from him and started jumping into the air
banging against the back door with her feet to be let in.
Maybe Molly is just a shy boxer but I think your baby would
either run and hide or lick the thief to death. Lets just hope seeing the dog in the window is enough intimidation to keep the thieves away.;)

I am not sure whether Kailee would or not, thus far she has not shown any real protective instinct. Heavens if the doorbell rings she just looks at us, then hides behind us until we let them in. But, like Buddy, I always like to think if I needed her she would be there for me.

Buddy was extremly laid back, never ever showed any aggression or protectiveness either ,until one day. My niece, as usual, was staying with us (She was about 1 at the time). Buddy and I were in her room tucking her in for a nap. Once she was settled, we came down the hallway towards the kitchen, and lo and behold I found this VERY strange man standing in our house! Needless to say I was somewhat freaked, and without Any hesitation Buddy reacted on my reaction and took over! YeeHaw!! He backed that creep right out of the house, letting the guy know he meant business. Once outside he knocked the man down and sat on him. I called the police, they came, the man gave some idiotic story about thinking it was someone else's house, and he got charged with trespassing :( Buddy did not hurt this man, just scared him and let him know who was in charge. I knew from that day on, although he was very gentle, he was there if I needed him. That was however the beginning of his habit to pounce at the door whenever someone knocked or rang. Didn't bother me though, cause I knew he was doing his job ;) Although Kailee has yet to show the need, I think perhaps she would if she had to.

Molly sounds adorable.........

Mollie sounds a little sweetheart , but I am still unsure of what Ginty would do........ I would hate her to be put through such an ordeal..... I am sure in one way she would want to protect the house from intruders........:( :( Phew I know one way she could scare them ........... GAS THEM......phew phew I need fresh air........ :D :D

How wonderful Buddy is. I hope he got alot of cookies & love for that one. I have hope that Molly would protect the house but in my case its really not necessary. Molly has a brother who is an Am Staff and he usually scares the hell out of anyone comming to the door. If they only knew he was really just crying for love.
He is a very big baby and rarely ever moves from the bed or the couch.

Of my two boxers, one would, the other wouldn't.

Gretel is my sweet little rescue girl. She's just a big softie and loves EVERYONE, so I doubt she would attack an intruder.

I KNOW Cookie would attack an intruder. As I've shared a couple of other times on this board, she attempted to attack a man who later threatened me with a gun. She guards the house and the yard well. We VERY seldom have any door-to-door solicitors unless it's one of the neighborhood kids. She just adores kids, and they even come over and ring the bell to see if she can come out and play :D

Ozzy is only four months old and i am sure he would lick a person to death first. We have a rottie, he would let you in but not out. They work well together, one would lick you while the other has you cornered. Sorry no break ins to metnion.

I think Blade will be protective..yet

At six months my daughter says kool aid runs through his veins. lol He is very cautious when exposed to a new situation. My husband and daughter both play it up with covering their faces, making strange noises and making it all into a big game once he realizes it's them.

But when he hears the door bell or when we are alone in the sunroom/basement and he hears a strange sound he sounds like a serious attack dog!

He is serious too....the question is if it was really a stranger entering the house to do harm would he attack or retreat while barking up a storm....only time will tell....I think he will someday be my hero if the situation arises....smashicon
