Do you let your boxer sleep in bed with you?

I just wanted to see how many people let their baby (ies) sleep in bed with them and how soon did you start that? Accidents in bed?

Not at night.

What we have been doing (for a whole week now..haha!) is this:
She sleeps in her crate at night, I get up to let her out around 3, and then she wakes up for good around 5:30. We go out again, go potty, and then she gets in the bed with us until 6:20 or so. Its worked out fine so far.

Unfortunately, our work schedules are messed up this week so its been alot of crating, which tears me up, but atleast I know she's safe in there during the day.

Ditto here - crated from 10 pm to 2 am, potty break, crated until 5:30 am.

Dh won't let Sam sleep with us - our bed isn't really big enough for us, 2 cats and Sam.

unless you plan on allowing your dog to sleep in the bed with you EVERY night, then i wouldn't suggest ever allowing your dog to sleep in bed with you, especially when you first bring them home.

however, if sharing a bed with your furry friend doesn't bother you, then by all means go for it.

We share Lucy and Patch's bed with them. They are so kind. Lucy started as a puppy seeing I couldnt stand the crying it broke my heart. she did have a couple accidents in the bed when she was real small and i didnt hear her get up. Gotta be quick if you hear them russell now we have a king size bed and I get a corner!!!!

Crated until 9 months of age, then in bed with us. OR actually we get to sleep in bed with her.....and I have been known to get kicked out and head to the couch.

we use to let maverick sleep in our bed after he was potty trained around 3-4 months. he slept in his crate until then. we would let him sleep with us every other night. well he doesnt sleep with us anymore his legs are justTOO wild and hes a really big bed hog.... he always wants to get in the bed. sometimes when im getting ready for work i will let him in the bed with my fiance or when i want to sleep late. he usually sleeps longer in the bed thatn in his crate. if you dont have a problem with a 60 + lb boxer sleeping on top of you go for it

Asia has ALWAYS slept in our bed and she is almost 2 years old now. She did have one accident when she was a puppy (around 10 weeks of age) but it wasn't big and I blame myself for being lazy and not getting up to take her out!

A great example of two years down the road, if you let your pup sleep with you, happenned last night -- it was about 5am and Mark was nicely sleeping on his side and I was sleeping on mine. Somewhere in the night Asia must have gotten down and went into the living room to sleep (humans ... :rolleyes: ). So I wake up to her big mushy face right in front of mine. Obviously she wanted to go out so I waited a bit and let her wake Mark up. Soo, they went out and came back in and Asia ran as fast as she could and jumped on the bed in Mark's place. She just looked at him like 'Ha! Now YOU go sleep on the couch!' ... Soo, she moved herself off the bed but around 6am she came and practically sat on top of Mark, making him move. So now here I am ... Mark and I had half the bed and Asia had half the bed.

We don't mind it one bit though, so if you don't mind that kind of stuff and just find it humourous ... I would say go for it! They make for great cuddlers!

We have 2 in bed with us every night...never had an accident with either of them..when they need to go out at night they walk:eek: on us or lick us til someone gets up and lets them out...

Kona starts out on the floor in her bed next to me than sometime after I fall asleep she sneaks into bed. I wake up with the dog next to me snoring or kicking me.
