KMB's BabyB

Boxer Booster
She started out sleeping with us because she came home at just six weeks(too young, I know that now) and was too cold and sad to sleep alone-still needed that puppy pile. Then I decided when she was about nine weeks old she could be crated at night so we did that until she was about 4.5-5.5 months but when I started making her sleep by herself she lost a lot of confidence and became very skittish. She didn't want to cuddle at all and fawned and cringed and acted like a beaten puppy towards us. She also got very scared of being lifted. I don't know if it was a phase but when I said "Aw the hell with it..." and let her sleep in the bed ( a feat that took some convincing since she knew she wasn't alowed any more) she regained much more confidence. SHe still sleeps with us and there really isn't enough room:)

DC and Gator both started out in crates. Once they were old enough to last the night without an accident, they were allowed out.

DC, a year and a half old now, started out on my bed but he now has the run of the house. He will start off with me. Once he thinks I am asleep he will move from the bed to living room to the couch (his guard position). He gets up and makes rounds about every hour.

Gator, six months old, recently graduated from his crate to my oldest son's room. He does great.

Completely Boxer Crazy
We used to have two boxers that slept with us. Both started when they were wee little. The queen size bed became very crowded, and a lot of unpleasant sleep. Now, we only have one dog that sleeps with us, the bed feels like it has grown. We did try and train our dogs to sleep in the living room because it was so uncomfertable. They trained us, after we tried that they would pee and poop on purpose in our living room, so they could sleep with us at night. They knew we wouldn't want to get up in the morning to find pee and poop. That is laziness on our part, but we pick and chose our battles.

Maci-May

Super Boxer
i don't let Maci sleep in bed with me due to the promlem i had when i rescued her as it was a fight between me and maci who was alpha, so now she is not allowed to get on my bed or on the sofa, when i did let her on my bed she used to growl at me if i moved or tried to get her off!!! Its not her fault she had a bad start to life and i guess she wanted to be alpha so she would be the boss and not get hurt again.. She used to have food aggression as well but now she eats after everyone else has eaten and she won't eat unless told to do so (but if u was starved u would too) now my 1yr old daughter can take her bones and toys off her, and give her treats too. All i have now is a BIG problem with my daughter at dinner times its like a mouthfull for her then she gives a mouthfull for Maci and if i tell my daughter off she throws the food on the floor for Maci!!!! I guess my daughter rules the hse lol
