Debo Got Me Pulled Over!

Hey, I'm driving around in circles (in and out of this parking lot) and see a cop car, didn't think anything of it. Debo's kicking back in the back seat with his head hanging out the window as usual. I was looking for a do-it-yourself dog wash.

Next thing I know, I get the cop behind me! So I pull over, just knowing he was going to go around me, he stops!!! :eek: I start getting those jitters (I always get a little nervous, I don't know why, nobody wants a ticket)! The passenger cop gets out and I roll my windown down and Debo's window up and start explaining why I'm driving in circles looking to wash my dog, and he says, "no, no, no, I want to see your dog, I have a boxer at home blah blah blah!" I realize, this guy pulled me over just because he saw Debo and he wanted to check him out! I didn't mind, I thought it was kinda cool! I let Debo out of the car and he just sat there and spilled on about his Boxer and how he loved Boxers etc. But at the same time, it threw me off, otherwise I would have told him about this board!

Oh well, that was funny anyway! "Excuse me ma'am, can I see your license, registration, and your Boxer!" LOL! :cool:

When I read the title of your post, I was imagining something like:
Debo getting in your face, you swerving, and getting pulled over. Glad that wasn't the case! :D

That is so funny, it reminds me of the time I was taking Angus to his friend Champs house. It was in the morning and the traffic was relatively heavy, anyway there was a fender bender with a woman in a Porsche and her car was in the center divider. When I got in the left hand turn lane to go into Champs subdivision I was next to the accident.

In the middle of this accident scene, I cop looks at me (Same jitters as Badassboxer)and stops talking to the lady, he walks over and sticks his hand in my back window and starts telling me how he has a boxer and what great dogs they are, blah, blah, blah. The look on that lady's face was so funny, she was soo mad (hell, I was just happy I wasn't in trouble).

Well I wonder if it would get you out of a speeding ticket? (not that you would ever speed) Maybe you should bring Debo with you more often :) Way to distract them Debo! Did you ever find the dog wash...

Asy, I love your story. My husband is a retired cop. He is, was, always will be a car nut. There were a few times he pulled someone over so he could ask about their car.

That was in the days BB (before Boxers) he would probably let someone off nowadays if they had a Boxer in the car!

Do you think Daschund, Beagle, Lab people go out of their way to talk and visit with strangers that share a breed?? :)

Ha. Thats funny.

Last spring, coming home from Spring Break in Florida, I got pulled over for speeding in North Carolina. The cop was very rude. I think he was scared of Striker who was only 3 months old at the time, who was hanging out the window. The cop kept backing off, and Striker just wanted to kiss him. Maybe thats why he gave me a ticket! Ha. Oh well. I had to pay, but no points since I have a MD license, so all worked out.
