I have a 16 month male boxer named Brody. Yesterday he just had surgery to remove 2 cysts, one on the side of his knee and the other on his foot. We think we may have found another on his other foot today. I knew boxers were prone to cyst, but is this a lot for his age? Has anyone else had boxers with cysts? Do you always have them removed as this last surgery was very expensive? I would be greatful for any information anyone has.

Morgan, my two year old has cysts , one on her head, one on her lower breast, and one on her hind leg. The vet said to watch them, and if they got larger, he would biopsy one of them. Until then, I wasn't to get to excited.

Boxers often get lumps and cysts etc. It is important to have them checked by your vet. As boxers are inclined to get cancer it is usually a good idea to have them removed.

I'm going to move this topic to the Health Issues Forum. It will remain open there.
