Hi,

The home visitor from the rescue centre is coming tomorrow to see if we can have Tink.

Bailey is currently crated, and Tink is in the rescue centre because she was destructive so we'll need to crate her too.

Is it best to have the crates next to each other in the same room? Or keep them in seperate rooms?

Thanks

I crate Astro and Luna in the same room. I guess I feel that way they have a little company while we are at work.

I think it's best to wait and see. Give them a chance to get to know each other, and then you should be able to judge whether they would rather be together in the same room, or have their space!

We put Deuce and Maggie's crates in the same room, just a few inches apart really. Good luck with Tink, I don't want to jinx it but it sounds like she is almost home with you!

Good luck with the home visit,Tink will have a wonderful forever home with you and Bailey.
Our first ever dog{when we were first married} was a staffy cross labrador,he was a darling.

Piper Ann and Riley are crated in the same room right next to each other. I think it's good for them to have another creature in the same room when we're gone so they know they're not all alone (spcifically for Piper, she gets a little anxious sometimes). I have run into problems with foster dogs sometimes not liking another dog right next to them, particularly during feeding time, but all I've ever needed to do then is move the crate to the other side of the room-most dogs seem to feel that's enough space. I've never had any trouble with the crates being in the same room.

Congradulations on your new baby!

Ruby and Luka's crates are side by side in the hall, they only use them at night or when I'm out or working :)

Roscoe and Blayne's crates are right next to each other. I think it comforts them when we are gone to know that the other dog is right there. If you cant do it right next to each other, I would think that at least having them in the same room would be best, so they can at least see each other. It might help Tink adjust better to being in the crate and such while you are gone.

When I first got Buster, I seperated their crates. Roxy's was beside my bed and I put his in the "dressing room" of our bedroom. He cried and cried. I then moved his right beside Roxy's and from the moment I did this, I never heard a peep out of him at night. I think it is calming for them to have another next to them, whether it be human or another fur baby. :)
