Coughing after Exercise.

I have noticed this for some time since I have had Mindy, whenever she is running around the yard like a crazed lunatic, she will cough after she is finished. She just coughs a few times and then things seem to subside. Could this indicate a heart problem or am I over-reacting.

When she was sick, she had a significant heart murmur, but she also didn't have much blood. At her last follow-up with the vet, upon my asking she said yes, she heard a very faint murmur and that if I hadn't asked she probably wouldn't have noticed. Maybe I should have her see a cardiologist just in case, it is only $95. It is hard having lost Snubby to BCM, maybe I am over-reacting. Let me know what you guys thoughts are.

Having lost a sweet girl to BCM as well I would get the cardiac check. I'm sure your girl is fine but it will give you peace of mind. My girl was ultrasounded at a year just so I could rest easy and it was worth every penny to get that clean bill of health

I agree, I would get it checked out just to be sure. Roscoe has heart valve "regurgitations" and he coughs when he gets running around and acting like a crazy man. He will cough once or twice and then he is fine. He doesnt get fatigued or anything and we dont have to restrict his activity per the cardiologist.
