Chicken and Rice question

As a result of Ty's overeating last weekend (see previous post in this forum - Scary Night) he's had really bad gas all week, and in the past 2 days, he's gotten bad diarrhea. The vet told us this might happen. We want to put him on a bland chicken and rice diet until his tummy settles down. All we have in the pantry is brown rice, is that ok? Or should we go get some white rice? Thanks!

White rice would be a bit better. It's not so nutritious as brown, but that's kind of the point in this case - nothing much there, so relatively easy to digest, hence fairly easy on the tummy.

If you want to try the brown first though, I'd suggest slightly over cooking it.

If you have oatmeal, you could use that instead of the rice. I hope Ty is feeling better soon.

White fish is good as an alternative to chicken, my last boy couldn't eat chicken, plain white fish is just as gentle as chicken, hope Ty is better soon.
