Changing breed name...

Hello all, Dh and I were watching the dogs play last night, and he said something profound(at least we laughingly said so). They should think about renaming the Boxer breed to "Grappler breed" or "Wrestler breed". Our boys use grappling and wrestling tactics to take each other down, it seriously is like watching a wrestling match. The only thing missing is the singlets that they wear. Rocky is about to leave Apollo's weight class, so I'm not sure how it will all work out. This may be one of those once in a lifetime events. My Boys box some, but it is definitely the wrestling that they use the most.
Does anyone else's boxer wrestle/grapple?

Yes, yes, and yes! And, my two have to wrestle right in front of my feet, making sure I am part of it! They are so silly.

Yes, but since I only have Aasha, his wrestling partner is usually me! But I love it.

DH is Waldo's wrestling partner,about 1hr after dinner,it's all on between the 2 of them,Waldo usually initiates it

I have a boxer and a lab mix who wrestle/ grapple all the time! I think they'll live up to it! Goofy Boys!

Oh yes, mine wrestle like crazy...they go for the limb take-down. They grab each others hind legs until the other one falls on the floor and then wrestle around on the floor.

Charlie Paper plays with Naia (my bf's AmStaff) like that! The two of them wrestle around like no other. Its funny because the AmStaff does these little nibbles to Charlie, then he'll turn around and do it to her. Then Charlie will box at Naia, and she'll box back. They're too funny to watch!

Oh yes boxers are a delight to watch roughing it out. Ali has a boxer buddy and it's hilarious to watch them play. This little one is just a year and she is full of energy. She jumps right over Ali's head. Needless to say there are both ready for bed when they go home.

Stella has taught Jack, my lab, how to wrestle, and now he tries to wrestle with her by putting his paw on her head or back! He never used to do that before!

The breed shoudl be 'Head-lock'...elvis wrestles with dh and always tries to get him in a head-lock!
