I bought Lulu a car restraint. Actually I have tried 2. One made by Four Paws and one called 3 in 1. They are harness type restraints with nice padding. At first it seemed like it would work fine, but as soon as she around to try and catch a fly she got all twisted up. The harnass shifted and seat belt got all twisted. It seems wierd to feed the seatbelt through since it has the lab strap and the chest strap (triangle). Any advice or suggestions..What kind of luck have you had?? thanks

I have one that is almost like yours. It has a pad and hooks up threw the seat belt. Aasha does the same thing. As soon as he starts moving he gets twisted up. Darn, if he would jusy stay still (Yeah right!) By the time I get to where were going he has manged to some how be streached across the whole back seat, still with the seat belt harness on. lol. :) So I guess I can't really give you any advice but just to tell you it must be because they move around so much.

We have the Easy Rider harness but I think they are all similar. I don't know what to tell you as that has never happened to us. J.C. usually just lays down and waits for me to unhook the seatbelt before he gets up.

Bella's really good in hers although she hates wearing it. For some reason she has a hard time figuring out that she can lay down with it on. Seems like whenever I look back at her she is sitting sideways on the seat with her head resting on the back with a sad look on her face!

Thanks for the input..I am going to try again today..I know she is a lot safer with it on..I bought a faux fur throw with non-slide backing to put on the seat, but without a harnass on when I stop she lands up on the floor..What we go thru for this wonderful guys and gals...

Maggie wears a harness/vest in the car. I attach her leash to the D-ring on the back of the harness and then knot the leash around the seatbelt. It gives her a bit of room to move around but still keeps her secure. She does get tangled up occasionally but most of the time it is fine.

Lulu has a harnass/vest also..So you are attaching the leash to the o ring, are you feeding the seatbelt thru the slot on the harnass, or just tying the leash to the seatbelt..I am sorry, but I want to understand and try it..thanks
