Canine Viral Papillomas?!?

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd see if anyone has encountered this same virus with their boxer. My almost 2yr old brindle, love bug named Lola has contracted these white viral papillomas. Basically they look like big white, cauliflower-like bumps both ouside and inside her mouth. I brought her to the vet who explained to me that these occur often in young dogs and that Miss Lola likely picked them up from the dog park.

My vet, who is awesome, assured me that these would simply disappear in a few weeks...yikes! It has been a week already and I'm getting antsy.....they don't seem be getting any smaller! Lola is not at all bothered by them, but they just look so yucky!!!!

Anyone else out there experienced these or heard of others who have...any thoughts or anecdotes would be much appreciated!

Jake had those and my vet accually removed them. She also told me that he got them from the dog park. She said that once they get them they never get them again. You said they have'nt gone away yet. I probably would go to another vet and have them removed because they will spread so it could accually get worse before they get better. I hope this helps.
