Okay, so I recently made a post because we were going to switch to Timberwolf. We think our pup is allergic to something in Canidae because of watery eyes, itchy skin, etc. Well now we won't be switching to timberwolf because it is WAY to expensive for our budget! We are thinking of either trying California Natural (Sweet Potato and Herring) or the Nature's Variety (Venison).....Any thoughts or recommendations???

My oldest had the same thing. Watery eyes, goop coming out of the eyes, itchy skin. She is allergic to grains. You might try a grain free formula and see if it helps. :)

That's what I'm thinking. A couple of people I talked to said either it's allergies to grains, or to chicken.....the bad thing is I can't find any grain free product around here except for Innova EVO (which I guess isn't recommended for a 5 month old) or Timberwolf (which is too expensive for us)......I don't know what to do.....

Had you thought of homecooking or a natural raw diet? One of the great things about either of those is that YOU control what the dog eats, down to the last ingredient. So if offers the possibility of narrowing down precisely what the dog is allergic or intolerant to, and avoiding that exclusively.
