Bridesmaid dresses are pretty!

Hi everyone! I'm getting married in about 2 & 1/2 months :D, and sometimes planning this wedding has been extremely stressful! But today was a good day! Four of my bridesmaids and I went to New Orleans as their dresses were in and they had to try on for alterations purposes. All four looked simply BEAUTIFUL in their dresses! I really wanted them to love their dresses and look good in them . . . you know we've all had those bridesmaid dress horror stories (think 80's tea-length, fuscia tafeta - yuck!). Anyway, I'm just so excited that today went so well! One of my bridesmaids lives in New York and will be visiting Lafayette for the next week, so I picked up her dress and took it home with me. It was all that I could do to keep Flex away from it. That would be all that I need - boxer slobber stains on the dress! :)

The bridesmaid dresses have a black velvet top and an a-line bronzy colored skirt. The ceremony is in a very special place!!! I am a teacher at a Catholic school for girls run by the Society of the Sacred Heart. The school is on the historic register - the main building built sometime after 1821 when the school was founded. The ceremony will be at the school chapel, which is absolutely beautiful! The reception will be in Lafayette, where Jeremy and I live, and we will be honeymooning in Ocho Rios!

Nice dresses. Don't you love it when you don't have to hear the sighs and whines of your bridesmaids when they're trying on their dresses? I got married last year and my dresses were made by Jordan too and my girls loved them.

Congrats on your wedding - it'll be here before you know it!

Very pretty dresses. They look so similar to my bridesmaids' dresses. :) Mine were black velvet on top with a white skirt (tea-length).
We just celebrated our 11th anniversary in August. When we got married, it was virtually unheard of to have black as a wedding color (my colors were black and white, with red accents). I had florists scolf and wedding consultants cringe, but it was beautiful!
