I know everydog has his own temperment and tollerance but in general do boxers get along with cats? We are looking to get one and I would just like an idea as to whether it's do-able or not.

Completely Boxer Crazy
My boxer gets along fine with my kitties, just curious about them. The cats usually stay out of the way of the dogs because they don't like my mixed breed dog, he likes to play too much with them.

Our boxer gets along good with our 2 cats. However, we had the cats before we brought Ella home so she has been around them her whole life, not sure if that makes a difference or not. GL

Yep, boxers can get along just fine living with cats :) A lot can depend on how you manage the introductions and subsequent behaviour. If you do a search on 'cats' here, you'll find plenty of previous threads with some useful advice :)

Sure

We have four cats in our family. We already had the cats when we brought Brutus home as a puppy. We've never had any real problems thus far. The cats pretty much just stay out of the puppy's way. Brutus is so hyper and ready to play all of the time, that they are sometimes a little nervous around him. At night though, everyone except my little female kitty is in bed cuddled up together. Prissy prefers to sleep alone. If we get another puppy, we're going to have to get a bigger bed.

Our boy LOVES our 4 cats, maybe a little TOO MUCH!! He was 8 weeks when we brought him home, so he grew up with the cats around. We got a kitten when he was 2 years old; we kept the kitten separate for a month, so they could "smell" each other under the door. We slowly introduced the kitten, supervised, of course; and they all really love each other now!! The kitten-Peter and our boxer-Triton are best friends!!

Before we picked up Ali and took her to her new home she was living with cats, chickens, sheep, cows..pretty much everything! She is a boisterous wee girl so she can be rough with cats but never hurts them.
Her grandad has a cat and shes very fluffy, Ali likes to rub up against her and play with her tail (I think its because she loves the fluffy tail rubbing on her belly to be honest!).
The wee girl is fine around cats so we've never had a problem but we've been careful with cat claws - shes had a few close calls with scratching near the eyes and it does look painful when a claw gets stuck in a jowl! HAVE FUN

Harley loves his kitty. He is not very good with other dogs, but he is very gentle with her. We just got her a couple of weeks ago and Harley is about 3-4 yrs. old. It helps that she was raised with dogs so she doesn't run from him. If she ran I don't think he would be able to control himself.

Joe loves our cats too. He always tries to play with them (they're not too impressed with this!) After one or two swats and some hissing, he knows to stay out of their way (LOL). He's also good with our ferret. Just monitor all interactions initially (some dogs won't do well with small animals...doesn't matter the breed).

Deuce has been around our cat since he came home and they've never had any real problems but he does get extremely jealous if the cat is getting attention from one of us, especially if there is food around. He has actually snapped at her several times but not really with the intention to bite, just seems like he's doing it to scare her. Whenever he's done it, he gets punished right away but it doesn't seem to deter him. Does anyone know how to stop this? I honestly don't think he would ever hurt her, but I hate the behaviour and really want to discourage it.
