Super Boxer
A friend of mine has a boxer that her mom dumped on her about a year ago. It was abused and was obviously being trained for dog fighting. He is dominant and growls, but in general is a fairly friendly dog. He always is wagging his tail even when he is growling. He has lunged at her husband over toys, but not her so probably was abused by a man. He has been around kids and is okay with them, but I wouldn't trust him to live with one. He also lives with a male husky and they had a cat. He doesn't seem to have any problems with other animals, it seems to just be a dominance issue with people. He had a few scuffles w/the husky at first, but is fine now. My friend just had a baby and her husband has developed ms so the dog has to go. If a new home can't be found for him he will be euthanized. He is about 4yrs old, fawn, needs to be neutered!!!!, and weighs probably around 85lbs. This is not a dog for an inexperienced handler, and not for someone with kids. She is going to contact some boxer rescues, but I doubt they will take him. I'm not really holding out hope that anyone will take him, but thought I'd try anyways. He has improved a lot since they got him. Also, he is 100% housebroken, crate trained, and is good in the house loose. If anyone is interested they can pm me.
