We are new to this forum. Looking for someone in Northern Maryland who has experience boarding a male boxer. Frazier is a 3 1/2 year old male who has separation problems. He can be aggressive (basically overprotective) when transferred then eats very little during his stay. He is not beligerent to other dogs. Any ideas??

Thanks.

Hi! I'm from Bel Air too. We have never boarded Cooper but I had boarded our beagle Wendy and Mugzy, our last boxer, at Bel Air Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Richard Cook. I was always pleased with the quality of care that they gave. I can not say enough great things about Dr. Cook. There is of course Hickory veterinary and Kennel and Churchville Vet Clinic and Kennel. My brother boards his ridgeback at Churchville and my inlaws board their beagle there also, both are very happy with them. None of these dogs have seperation anxiety. Maybe a petsitting service would be a better idea. I really do not have experience with this sort of thing.

Welcome to the board! I see you have 543 in you name, do you live near there?

Thanks for your reply. We visited both Churchville and Hickory over the weekend. The problem with Churchville is that they do not have indoor/outdoor runs and must walk the dogs. We are somewhat concerned with Frazier's behavior with strangers. Hickory offers indoor/outdoor runs and say thay have experience with dogs of this nature. Do you have any leads on house sitters? 543 was the first combination aol had available for ds. We do in fact live right off of 543 near C. Milton Wright, but came up with 543 while living in Florida, have been in Bel Air for 2 1/2 years.

Wow, we are about 1 mile from each other than. We are on the same side of 543 as C.M.W. near the intersection of 543 and 22. My husband is a teacher at a local elementary school. Small world! Anyway, about the pet sitters... I take Cooper to get his nails done at Doggie Delights and the owner there has a couple of things sitting around from a pet sitting service but I can't remember who it is. You could always stop by or call. Also, my manager at work (who has two boxers) just used a service when he got married. I'll find out who it was and let you know.

He used Red Baron Pet Sitting. Doggie Delights recommends Sadler Pet Sitting.
