New to this. Kind of scared. Registered as this sight has been of immense help and interest to me since becoming a boxer owner in June 2003. Bentley is her name and she was 3 months old when we took her home. So incredible that a breed has captured so many hearts, creates a community, brings total strangers together, brings such joy into our daily lives. Everything I have read about traits...thank you veteran boxer owners...is right on target. I am grateful for all the information - example: when Bentley started to do the "bean" I was in a first-time-mother panic thinking she had a neurological disorder! Since that time, I have worked up the courage to be a part of this fantastic sight. A warm hello to you all.

My heart expanded a few sizes when I read responses to my newbie intro - how cool! Thanks for the greetings. When I figure out how to add pics of our girl, I will do so! She's a petite one - kind of short but built - 59.5 lbs - with a most darling face! She's not too heavy but we have to watch it as she's still in the "if there's not a treat then what's the point" stage. There is so much I'd like to share about her but it's funny - if a boxer owner has posted it once on this site about traits, antics, or "oh-my-gawds-you-should-have-seen-what-(dog's name)-did-now-it's-so-precious!" it has been posted again..and again but I never tire of reading them. So, as I get more into this, please bear with me. Maybe a few of "Our" common traits are that "our child" is the cutest, smartest, and gosh darn it we just want to share it with the whole world how great we think they are!

Hello and welcome! Another Boxer lover from Chicago area, woohoo! You'll have to join us at the next Boxer Bash. Probably won't be for a while though - it's getting cold! Have fun on this site, it IS addicting. I love looking at the galleries the best, and reading threads in "The Boxer Ring" section. If my husband and I hadn't stumbled across Boxer World, I don't know what would've become of us and our Boxer baby. We'd have probably gotten him from a backyard breeder, not taken as good care of him and his specific Boxer needs as we are now, and we'd probably be feeding him some icky type of food like Purina! *Thank you Boxerworld!* You'll always find a wealth of information here, about things you might've never even though of.
