    Just got home !!!!

My Daughters and I checked out all the sales paperslast night, then picked out what we wanted each one chose a store and the list from that store. We got up at 3 am and headed 1 hr. into the city. Got every thing on our list. Now we will all meet at my house in the morning to pick up our items and pay whoever picked them up. It works so much better as a team. ( I was lucky this year I got Big Lots and a place called Freds discount. I did not have to enter Wal-Mart LOL!!!! My 21 yr. old got that job.LOL My DH is already asleep and I think I will join him.

Crazy! I went to a couple places today, but not early. Came home after two stores to eat some left overs and I think I have had enough!! After working in retail back in the day it has made me want to avoid the mall and big shops like the plague. :)

I made my DH go with one of my friends (and this was our first year attempt). I CANNOT stand crowds. He loves it. He loves to people watch and seems to live off of stress. They left bright and early this morning for Wal-Mart and got close to everything they wanted. We only really were out for one thing and he said he stood in line for 1 1/2 hr waiting for that darn camera! I was up waiting when they got home and he said I would have curled up in the fetal positon if I had tried to do it!!!! foolicon
Thank the Good Lord I have such a wonderful husband!

I went this morning, but not at the 5am start time. I did that a couple of times before and it is just insane. I have never seen a more disgusting display of greed in my life. Like being on some sort of twisted game show. They open the doors and people are practically trampling over each other to get at the sale items. I was there about 2 hrs after opening this morning and it wasn't bad at all. They still had plenty of what I wanted and the crowds were about normal. It was snowing pretty good this morning, so that might have kept some shoppers away.

I hate shopping! I practically hyperventilate in big department stores  If it means avoiding crowds I'm more than happy to miss out on sales and pay more later.

My sister and I always go. Maybe it's just where we live, or maybe we're just immune, but it doesn't seem that bad to us. We have a 24-hour Wal-mart, but the big sale started at 5, so we went about 4:50, walked around and got some non-sale items, got our sale stuff when they unwrapped the pallets at 5, and were out of the store by 5:10. We had gone to three or four other stores and had most of our shopping done in time for breakfast at 8!

I don't like the crowds either so I actually tried the shopping over the internet this year. I'm hooked!!! But I had to take my car into the shop this morning and it was going to take longer than expected so I walked over to the Wal-Mart close by to pick up a few things. The Christmas section was totally deserted, the pet section was deserted, and I walked up to a cash register with no one in line. So where were all the people?
