Lisa, that is excellent advice. Harley has never been to obedience school and is, for a boxer, fairly well behaved. He does, however, become totally "deaf" whenever he's outside. He will only respond to our calls for him if he feels like it or if there's a treat involved. I'm going to begin tomorrow to train Harley (using a leash) to come when called. So many times we tend to put off teaching necessary rules to both our skinkids and furbabies because it's easier to just think that nothing bad will ever happen to them. Thanks for the information about using a leash. Look out Harley, because tomorrow is your first day of school!!
