Bare spot

My boxer Buddy has a bare spot on his hind leg. Took him to the vet a number of months ago and she gave me some cream to apply and eventually his hair grew back. Now I've noticed the bare spot has reappeared. Does anyone know what this could be and why it keeps coming back? Is it anything to worry about?

What did the vet think it was? Mange? Not unusual for it to reappear if so...

Had something similar

Our now 10 yr old had several patches a few years back..we traced it back to diet..we had to definately experiment with different things but finally found a mixture that works.
Dont know if this is the same thing, but I know that we were definately concerned..called him "patch" for the longest time..good luck..

My Chloe has a few bald spots too. I'm trying the cream also. A couple more have shown up. Ringworm has been ruled out and the vet doesn't know.

Anyone have a clue?

Our female used to have this problem in the winter only. Our vet finally said it was seasonal alopecia. It doesn't happen anymore, don't know why. We moved to a different house that has a humidifier on the furnace so it's not so dry in here anymore.
