What a day? I need a reality check. I got up this morning saying how well Megan did last night, not getting up to go out. My husband and in turns tells me she did but I didn't hear her. Ok major guilt trip. I always get up for her to go out at night, and I can't even say I slept good last night except I slept through her wanting to go out.

Than I usually come home for lunch and didn't today had to take my mom to the dentist to get a tooth filled. My husband came home for lunch to feed her, as usuall and when he put her into her crate she cried. Oh no more guilt. She is usually out two hours at lunch time today half of that. Boy do I feel bad. Don't feel like a very good mommy today.

I think we feel more bad than them... I'm not working since I have my baby (three weeks ago) but I will have to return to work next week... I don't want to let my baby alone! She is very good with the crate ( I crate her when I have to make my grocery and it's almost it ;)), I know I should practice her to stay in the crate longer and longer while I'm here but... :D

 Even good Mommys have to have lives of their own....I think you are being way to hard on yourself, it's nice to have Daddy take charge sometimes. ;) , you ARE a good Mommy!

Hey, you are a GREAT Mommie!!! Your dog will only love you more if you sometimes have to mix things up a bit as you did today. I've "forgotten" to take Maggie out for business before too. Boy was my face red. Luckily, Maggie just went to sleep and waited until I figured out that she'd not been out for 6 hours !!!!! (I had visitors and got way too distracted.)

Don't beat yourself up. Anyway, isn't that why they make toys for dogs? Just so the owners can buy away their guilt! :) :)

Feel better, good Mommie. I'm sure your puppy forgives you!

Thanks guys, I feel a little better. Megan and I went out in the snow and played ball tonight when I got home from work. The ball even went down the driveway and into the street. I told Megan to stay and she did, which made me feel much better. Because the minute I saw that ball roll down the drive, I was thinking "bad mommy." I mean what kind of mom brings the ball out when the ground is covered with snow and the only place to play is a downward slopping driveway.

Tonight I'm exhausted but Megan and I had this conversation, I told her if I didn't hear her tonight when she got up to go pee to give me kisses, I think she understood. :) I can't believe she held it all night last night from 8pm to 6:30am this morning she did make a very mad dash to the door. Wonder why?
