My FI, now DH!, and I just got back from getting married and going on a mini-moon and of course, had to pick up the babies from the kennel on the way home. They didn't seem mad at us at all and were jumping and beaning all over the place when they saw us. Well, that was then.... When we get home, we do the usual routine of potty first, then food, etc, etc. When we've been inside for about 10 minutes, I realize that I haven't heard or seen Abbi since we came in. After looking for her, I found her in our closet, chewing on the remnants of my flat iron cord. And after further inspection of the mess, realized that she'd peed IN MY OVERNIGHT BAG that I'd dropped when we came in the house. She NEVER EVER goes in our closet and to find her in there, creating such a huge mess, was so surprising. Guess she told us how she really felt about being left out of the festivities and having to sleep somewhere strange.... But of course, she looked up at me with her big, brown eyes, head hunched down, and sad look on her squished face, and I couldn't help but laugh at her because it LOOKED like she'd been caught red-handed.
Lesson learned: Take my babies with me next time....like I wanted to do originally.
