Bad Doggie Breath

Tango has had the worst breath since I put him on wellness simple solutions. I have been adding a spoonfull of boiled stew beef(ground in the processor) to his food and I wonder if its the beef thats causing it? His teeth and gums are in perfect shape according to the vet(which i trust more than my own personal doctor) I give him greenies quite often, he gets those breathbusters bisquits too..but nothing seems to help! Anyone know of anything he can have or even something that might be causing it healthwise(he just had a complete blood panel done and everything is perfect on that)..IM just at a loss and my vet is on vacation right now so i cant ask him yet.. any ideas appreciated cause is sure do miss his doggie kisses!!

My Leonard has the WORST breath odor. I have taken him to the vet and they said he has stomach acid that causes it. He is on Pepcid AC. He gets an upset tummy a lot. The other thing he has is a gum disorder where his gums are growing too much over his teeth. So, his gums tend to bleed. I'm looking for a good toothpaste and brush for him. He just always wants to eat the toothbrush! So, that's the only advice I have is it could be an acid-reflux type thing causing your dog's bad breath! I SO MUCH miss Leonard's kisses too!!!

Now thats a thought. I do give him pepcid when he gets the rumblies but never thought about making it an everyday thing. He also has the gingival hyperplasia and just had surgery on the 15th to trim his gums down for the second time. I do brush his teeth with a finger brush and use this mint wipe thing for his gums..but its not coming from his mouth as far as i can tell! So the pepcid might just help. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me!!
