We all do something in one way or another to spoil our dogs - what is something that you do that is just over-the-top?

Mine is . . . (and I know I'll get crucified for this - please be gentle), but in the morning when feeding Wagner, this is how it goes; he gets dry puppy food, wet canned puppy food, a half a puppy vitamin, and a jar of baby food (all mixed in so good that not one piece of dry food is dry anymore) - then the mixture is heated in the microwave.

Isn't that awful. I didn't realize how bad we were until I really thought about it! His food storage in the garage is a bin of dry food, stacks of canned food and stacks of baby food. Vitamins in the kitchen of course!

So, come on - spill it guys, you may not necessarily spoil your dog in the feeding arena, but what do you do that is really over-the-top spoiling that if you told someone they'd think you were nuts. (Like my in-laws!)

I just spent 1/2 hour cleaning up my mess! My dog eats a high quality kibble but I also give him vegetables whick I buzz up in the blender and add to the dry food. He loves it. I have been adding a few spoonfuls of ground turkey, chicken, lamb or makerel which he also loves. Today I bought beef heart and decided to mince it up in my food processor before cooking, dividing and freezing. The lid popped up from the food processor and spewed raw heart all over the counter and walls! Grrrrr.

I also make him a bed on the couch,(that is where he prefers to spend the night) and make sure he has his bunny to put his head on.

And last but not least, just planning most of our lives around this silly boy!

*I* want to be re-incarnated as a spoiled Boxer.

In the mornings we give Sergeant his kibble with a little meat, if there is any left over from the day before,(if not we sprinkle a little parmesan cheese over), then we make a gravy, one capsule of Glucosamine goes in the dish also one tablespoon of a special oil that I buy from the health store. In the early evening when we have our meal,(we are retired so we have our main meal midday), Gunther has an apple, half of it goes to Sergeant, and I have some yogurt and a banana, Sergeant has some yogurt and half of my banana! I don't think that is spoiling him, do you?????

Sergeant. 6 in October. Light brindle, natural ears. Full of fun.

Draco gets dry kibble mixed with boiled ground beef, with vegetables, yogurt or cottage cheese, brewers yeast with garlic powder and some special oil. Since I keep the boiled stuff in the fridge I always microwave it for a minute. He eats a portion of it and then goes to the corner. I follow him around , coax him and then feed the rest of the food with my hands. This at 6 am and then at 6pm. (Today I didnot do it & Draco ate his food like a good boy). Then in the afternoon I give him a banana--that too with my hand. And since I am a stay at home Mom, Draco gets to play with me a lot. And in the middle of the Texas heat I take him out for his pee-pee. Isn't he already a spoilt brat???

My friend's dog Buddie, not a boxer, a mutt.
Buddie does not eat out of a bowl. He gets fed with a fork at the table with the family. The mother of the family does all the spoiling. If we, as a group go out for ice cream, Buddie gets his own! Her horses get the same treatment. BOXES of oatmeal breakfast bars!! She had me buy a Case of carrots and apples everyweek at the local fruit stand 30 bucks worth of apples and carrots for the horses! I want to be her pet when I die.

Neat Post!!!

Well I don't want to bore everyone to much, so I will only a mention a few things that I do that are over the edge!

I spritz my girl, Tigra Marie wIth a spary bottle when we take walks in the day time. she hates the sun and gets very hot! I also carry 3 bottles of water with me when I hike. I have it strapped everywhere! ( THE WATER IS ALL FOR THEM) I also heat there food and mix in all kinds of tid bits for treats, I think the worst thing I do everynight is I make a bed for my boy with a chanel blanket and a chanel pillow. I kiss them each good night to!

YOU GOTTA LOVE EM THOUGH

Man, I thought I was bad! :D Kidding! Let's see... Major gets too many treats, he has a HUGE bed in the living room WITH pillows (will soon be in my room), when he is hot I give him ice cubes, but I hold them for him so he doesn't have to chase it around while licking it. In his food, he gets puppy kibble, a scoop of puppy wet, a scoop of yogurt, a splash of water, also a variety of goodies switched out (hard boiled egg, apple, peanut butter, banana, carrots, and cheese). See I'm not that bad, it could be worse. :D
