At it again....

It's getting a bit chilly here, so I finally broke down and turned on the furnace this afternoon.

It took hours, but Indiana just noticed a while ago. I was sitting there watching tv when I heard the heat kick on followed closely by his 'I'll protect you' growl. Sure enough, he started prowling the house trying to find the source of the noise. He's not at all happy about the exhaust in the back yard either.

Silly dog, he's 3 1/2 years old, it's really not new stuff. But at least I know that Indy will defend me...as soon as he can figure out what it is and where it's coming from. Gotta love 'em.

Cute story .. Indy is such a brave boy and good protector of his mommy.. How chilly is it in Wisconsin? It is a nippy 44 here tonight in NH and I'm already freezing.. got home from work and put on my warm sweats and the freezing temps of winter aren't even here yet ..Guess too much Calif girl still in me even though I've been away 7 yrs now, I still like the warmer temps.. although with the beautiful Fall foliage this is my favorite season and time of year..

Well it's nice to know you can depend on Indy even if it's only the furnace cutting in. I know that type of growl. Ali does it all the time if she suspects something is going on that she's not sure about. Good Boy Indy. Keep your mom safe.

Even though it's spring here in Australia,it was a cool,wet weekend,and so DH put the heater on in our bedroom lastnight,guess who was snuggled up as close as he could get,Waldo 1/2 way under the doona too this morning when we got up.He loves his luxury,does our lovely boylovicon

Good boy Indy! Keep home and hearth safe! Scooter does the same warning growl and prowl when he hears doorbells ring on TV! They are always on the look out for danger--even if it's from behind mom's leg's!

I also put the furnace on this morning. Molly spent yesterday outside all day playing. She is tired and cold today. Molly also gets "weird" the first time the furnace turns on. Funny dogs!

He is just protecting you mom...

Napoleon does that with the fireplace. If there is no fire, he is okay with it, but the minute a fire is started, he starte barking and running around.
He even jumps on Sandy if she goes near it.

Awww! What a good protector! When I turned the heat on this weekend it took Jager a little while until he noticed it but, when it kicked on later that day he jumped up and was sniffing the vent . . . . no barks but he was watching that thing. . . . just in case! hehe! It's too cute!
