Not sure where you noticed that...there are actually very few "reputable" breeders of euro boxers in the US that actually title and compete with their dogs. Those that are breeding for conformation would more than likely dock their pups since an undocked tail is a severe penalty in the conformation ring. It better be a darn nice dog to enter a ring with a tail.

Gosh, all these great pics of tails and now I'm Jealous! Wish Lily had a tail, even a nub would be great. Her docking was totally botched, where it's only 1 vertibrae, no reading her moods at all. With two others in the house undocked, she sure wishes she could smack them back in the face if she had one!

Have to say now, tails sure are BRILL!

The docking of tails will eventually go but it will be a long time before the move comes about to change the breed standard in the US. I am just starting to see uncropped ears at AKC dog shows.

yes tradition is always harder and slower to change. They will feel the presure eventually, with other countries banning docking and from people lobbying and becoming more aware and vocal on isues they feel passionate about. Hey look at us in the UK the KC even allowed a "mongrel" dalmation to enter crufts...times are changing.

We get lots of Boxers with tails at our Rescue. Im sure its all the BYBs out here in CA. Some people who come to adopt won't take a dog with a tail. I think its silly. It doesnt make a difference to me either way. I like both.

Here is one of our girls thats looking for a home that has a tail
    Only Dog - Ariel

    And a male
    Only Dog - Bane

This guy haas a tail and a very odd pattern on his chest
    Adoptions - George

    white w/ a tail
    Adoptions -Freckles

(Were are an approved rescue so I think this is ok to post)

Isnt Freckles unique? Somone just needs to clean her up a bit.

Here are two old girls with tails. These two have been through a lot and it shows... hopefully someone will give them a nice retirement.
