We got back earlier this week - - it was the best vacation ever - - I am truly hooked on cruising, it is the way to go. I can't believe how absolutely beautiful the water was - so blue - I told my husband if I didn't know better I would have thought they painted the bottom of the ocean blue as it was so incredible. And so clear.
We went to the Lamania (not sure if I spelled it right) Mayan ruins in Belize. It was great, we took a ride on a river boat to the ruins. They feed us lunch, nothing fancy as it was prepared in the forest by locals, but it was good. It was quite exciting walking through the rain forest and coming upon the temples. My husband and son climbed to the top of one of the temples - I really planned to, but when I got there and saw how high it was and you need to hold on to ropes most of the way up because it is so steep and the steps are narrow and crooked - - well, I have a thing with heights - it took me a while to get used to looking over the balcony on the second floor in our home....so needless to say I didn't climb to the top.
My husband and son went on a wave runner in Costa Maya, while my daughters and I sat on the beach - beautiful - and of course we did some shopping. We went snorkling in Cozumel and more shopping. In Grand Cayman we swam with the sting rays and of course, more shopping.
My husband and I are already talking about the next one and the kids have given their two cents on where they'd like to go next.
Royal Caribbean was excellent - lots of activities for the kids and the service was wonderful.
As you can tell, I can't say enough about it and can't wait for the next one.
