Just wondering if any one has the same issue as me when i am at park with juke and playing ball, some other male dogs come upto juke and try to get frisky with him. Juke did get neutered when he was younger before we got him, so i dont know if it was the same when male dogs came and had a look.
When other male dogs start to get frisky the owners just look and walk across without a care, when juke get mad and snaps at the dog to say get away from me then i get a funny look to say its my fault. The owners dont seem to care at all what they dog is doing and find it funny, it frustrate me to see the owner not caring at all.

It is male dog thing-they are trying to show dominance, and when you dog snaps @ them, he is letting them know to knock it off. the owners of the other dogs are not smart enough to figure it out. They are dogs, trying to establish a pecking order since the pet owners will not. Also too, most people think bringing their dog to the dog/park or to the park is a place for their frustrated dog to get exercise, and it usually ends up in trouble. I have seen it too many times.

Sorry for the rant I too have been in the same situation, And I finally told the guy if his dog did not knock it off, I would remedy the issue. Most of the time dogs work it out better than the owners do.LOL

That happens to me all the time. Harley is not fixed yet, but male dogs try to mount him all the time. He doesnt nip or anything, just wiggles away, or I remove the dog myself. Nobody has ever gotten mad at me for it. I just say to the dog in a playful way "Dont mount him! He's a boy!!" And that's that.

Last time we were at the dog park there was another male dog there that was trying to hump all the other dogs, and just generally being a bully and trying to tell the other dogs what was up. When I see those things happen I just tell the owner, if they don't seem to be paying attention "Hey, your dog is being aggressive and humping/bullying other dogs", and that usually gets them to pay attention and stick close so they can correct their dog and redirect its attention. I have a really hard time with people who go to the dog park and then ignore their dog or don't correct innapropriate behaviors. I stick close to Cooper to make sure he is interacting with other dogs properly. I feel like that is the responsible thing to do, but some people just don't have much common sense IMO....
