We adopted Harley from a Boxer Breeder who was fostering him, in January of 2000. We had a very difficult time finding him and he was the only boxer available in the whole province at that time. We were extremely fortunate to get him. We weren't even considered for a placement by the American Boxer Rescue Organizations as it was too far for them to make a home visit as we live in Canada. Since we've already rescued one boxer and proven that we can be good parents to him, is there any chance of ever, in the future, adopting one from the States without the home visit? I live in fear that we will lose Harley or, even if he should reach old age, that we won't be able to find another one here in Canada. We can't afford a puppy from a breeder and I am devastated at the thought of not having a boxer in my home. Would anyone have any information on this? Thanks so much!!
