Anxiously Anticipating Parents

Hi everyone! Our names are George & Charmin and we are anxiously anticipating the homecoming of two additons to our family. Our first baby will be arriving this sunday (11-05-00). Her name is Jade Alexandria France and she is eight weeks old. Jade is traveling a great distance ( Minnesota to Virginia) to join our family. Our son is due to arrive on 11-19-00 and his name is Xaiver Ali France. Upon his arrival, Xaiver will be exactly 6 weeks old. Not only are these our first boxers, they are also our very fist four-legged family memebers. We are very excited and a little bit less nervous since finding this web site. There are still many questions we are pondering, but the joy in the research is unbelievable! We hope to get to know lots of Boxer lovers through this forum. It's very nice meeting you all..

Welcome to the board and CONGRATULATIONS on your new "family." Two all at once! You are definitely jumping in with both feet.

Congratulaions on the new additions to your family. Six weeks is a little too young for the male puppy to leave his littermates. If possible it would be a good ideas to put off is arrival for a couple of weeks. Eight weeks is really the best time for the puppy to leave his family. Those last couple of weeks are an important learning and socialization time and he will learn a lot from his Mom and littermates. In some states it is actully illegal for puppies to be placed before 7 weeks of age.

Welcome to the board. I'm sure you will find this board is a great resource. Two puppies at once. Just curious why you decided on two puppies if they are the first 4 legged members of your family. Are they fawn or brindles? Maybe one of each?

My husband and I have a fawn and tossed around maybe getting a brindle but for now, one is enough of a handful.
