It might just be me but another frustrating issue i have is when i am out with juke at park or beach , i am throwing the ball and running with juke and have a good time . I see other people walking they dog without a lead on like me and juke, but when they get closer to me andsee me and juke they put they dog back onto a lead and walk as far away a possible, but take the lead off when they have passed juke. But when they pass another dogs they take the lead off and let the dog walk upto other dogs ( i must be walking a bear or something scary ), i know some dogs are not very nice around other dogs but it cant be every dog you see. You can see people looking at me and juke then start to shout at they dog to come to them so they can put the lead on the dog, then they either walk on the other side for road or turn around and go back from were the came from nearly running.

All juke want to do is play ball and have a good time in the park, you do get the odd person that lets they dog come to you but thats only because the have not seen coming around the corner. So most of the time its just me and juke walking around park by ourself . I just feel sorry for juke for not having much play time with other dogs, the odd time when he does see other dogs he just wants to play ball . But would be nice to see the dogs have a good chase around the park and have fun. Sorry for moaning . i could go on and on and on.

I don't get it  why some people act that way...but i feel sorry for Juke because I know all he wants to do is play with the other dogs...it makes me feel sorry for him!! I would find a friendlier place to go!! Barbara

Poor Juke! :( He just wanted to play! That was our experience at the dog park as well! I felt like people saw Chief and Sam and leashed their dogs immediately because they were "big dogs"! At least they can play with each other in a free environment!

Aww that's sad! Juke just wants friends! He's an adorable boy, but some people have misconceptions about dogs such as boxers and pit bulls (I dont care what anyone says, pit bulls are 2nd best to boxers).

Harley's never caused that type of reaction, but he's still a puppy (a big one, but a puppy none the less). People are stupid to do that. I'm sorry. I hope you find a friendlier place!

We are very lucky to live in an area where boxers out number any other type of dog. On our daily walks we can end up with 4 or 5 boxers running around on the fields (if we all time it right)
Which is really cool
My two love the beach and I can not wait for the better weather. The only downside is it takes an hour for us to get there.

:( Man, that really sucks. Poor Juke. When Atlas was 3 months old, there was a jogger who literally STOPPED running to inch his way away from us, with his back to the wall and his eyes on Atlas that whole time. I told him, "He's really friendly, and he's only three months old." His reply? "He looks vicious."

????

But on our normal walk route, we meet tons of other boxers. There are usually 4 or 5 to gather around for daily boxing matches. :D
