Hi there, my miss Mirka has a pretty full on head cold. There was a bit of kennel cough going around the park in the past couple of weeks which she developed only for a few days over the weekend (no point in vaccinations now I realise, after the last one has failed).
However while the coughing has almost ceased, this time around she's developed a very snotty head cold. We have to wipe her face with warm cloths several times a day to get rid of it, and (sorry, this sounds gross) there were large chunks of it on our back verandah when I arrived home from work just before :(
She's only 9 months old and has had a bit of a bad run with injuries, lumps, bumps and visits to the vet, and we're not keen to give her another run on antibiotics unless we absolutely have to.
Any alternatives to antibiotics? Any herbal remedy or essential oils I can use? We humans use eucalyptus oils a lot with a head cold, is it ok to burn some of that for her or is there a hidden problem with it for dogs?
Any advice will be much appreciated. (Basically her general well being is not too bad, she's a little flat but generally ok).
