Hi everyone, I am hoping that you may be able to give me some advice, direction, anything will help! Thanks in advance!! My 5 1/2 year old girl, Bella, had 4 lumps removed this Thursday 12/13. They were removed because the vet feared they might be mass cell tumors. The vet aspirated/smeared them after removal and said they look very cystic and she did not see any abnormal (cancerous) cells. The lumps are being sent out for pathology and we will have results in one to two weeks. Bella is recovering fairly well but is upset at having to stay indoors and not be allowed to play (her passion;) of course! She looks so bad right now we are calling her "Bellastine" instead of Frankinstin. I am incredible upset though because today Saturday 12/15 I was petting her and found a brand new lump on her side! My dh and I are totally shocked as it has come up within two days of her having 4 removed! We feel like this lump will have to come off as well. We just want Bella to be happy and healthy for as long as she is with us. Do you think we would be totally crazy to leave this new lump alone if the other 4 come back as non-cancerous? I plan to ask the vet if they could just aspirate it and only remove if they see any abnormal cells. Any advice would be wonderful! Thank you!!!!

I wish I had advice for you but just know that you and Bella are in our thoughts and prayers.

I think that it would be better to go off what the vet says. Try to speak with them as soon as possible. Could it be a collection of blood from the operation site? or swelling from the op?
Sending lots of (((((((((((healing vibes))))))))))) wiggles and sloppy kisses.

Maybe have them aspirate the lump -- it will give you peace of mind if nothing else. I hope her test results come back okay.

When our dog had lumps removed, we used to call her Franken-Wolf because she looked bad all stitched up, too. I'll keep you and Bella in my thoughts.

Maybe when Bella goes to have her stitches removed the vet can aspirate the lump and then decide whether or not to remove it. Good luck, I hope it's nothing.
