A Win for All Dogs!!

I heard on the news last week that a local suburb of Dallas has passed an ordinance making it a crime to have a dog chained to a fence, post, etc. in a back yard and left unattended! I'm not sure what the fine or consequences are but was very happy to hear that the city has responded by passing this ordinance / law to protect the dogs living within its limits! appicon

Cheers to all those that helped make this possible and maybe, just maybe, a few other cities will get on board!!

That is wonderful news!! It is about time people start thinking of pets as family members, and not something to throw outside when they get tired of them.

That is great. I hate seeing dogs tied out all by themselves....they are usually tangled up and only have a couple of feet to move.

That is great. They are also trying to pass something like that in PA. It limits the amount of time a dog can be tethered outside, not sure of the exact times. We need more things like this and I have to say I am happy to live in PA where they are definitely trying to make strides in the right directions relating to animal cruelty.
