For the longest time, I could not figure out why Harley would sometimes stick his nose up at his food.

Yesterday, as I took the cold can of food out of the fridge, it finally struck me...Who wants to eat ice cold food? I microwaved his can food for a few minutes and then mixed it with his dry and fed him. Harley woofed his food down like it was going out of style. I was so happy that I didn't have to spend another night coaxing him to eat his dinner.

Am I the only weirdo that heats up their baby's food?

Nope! You're not the only one! I did that too when Tess was young and I was mixing wet & dry food! My hubby thought I was nuts until I served him an ice cold dinner and he got the point!

I have always heated Nino's also. He will not eat it cold. He never leaves anything on his plate, I guess that why he now weighs 90 lbs.

Casper seems to eat anything, plus having him here makes Sumi eat better too, she used to much down her food slowly throughout the day, now she eats the same amount as he gets twice a day. She eats it all at once because it would be too dangerous to leave it - he'd scarf what she left. I was so worried because he's on some antiboitcs now and the pills are huge, I just put them in the bowl with the kibbles and they're gone. Sumi you have to really trick when it comes to pills, even wrapped in cheese she manages to spit out the pill, now I melt the cheese around the pill that works - usually.

I started giving Remy his pills in a chunk of peanut butter. He hasn't mastered separating the pill from the peanut butter. I buy the natural kind from Costco (with the oil that separates). The jar is down to the bottom where it's kind of sticky and dry. It works excellent for the dog pills. :)

Yep, I "nuke" Morgans food if it comes out of the frige. She does enjoy it warm.

I have always put Tess's food in the micro, she is very fussy and sometimes I have to pretend its coming out of the pot on the stove and its what we are having too.As for the pup she would eat anything and everything including Tess's who just stands back and lets her.

Hi Melissa,
I never feed Rocky cold food. If I give him canned food it's usually at room temp. I agree with you, unless I'm eating ice cream, who wants to eat ice cold food!!

By the way, How do you get your smilies so big and animated??? They're all dancing around and stuff. It's really neat.

Dee,

The smiles came from an email a friend of mine sent me. I just copy their http address into my message and add
at the end to make the smiles appear. If you would like the email, send me your email address and I'll forward it to you. I'm at mpingue@caliber-one.com. By the way, I only live about 30 minutes south of you. The next time you're in the Perkasie area, let me know.
