Boxer Pal
i just picked up my boxer a few weeks ago. I have had my other dog (minpin terrier mix) for about 4 months now. i found her as a stray but was easily housebroken. when we brought tank home i kinda expected her to get jollous but not like this. for the past week she constantly pushes him away from me if i am trying to play or work on training him. i started watching her a little closer and noticed that she watches him all the time.is he tries to come to me she cuts him off. whats bothering me the most is that she is blocking him when he tries to go for his food. i tried separate bowls. she just ate both and kept him from eating any. i can tell he's starting to loose weight so i need help quick. i think isolation is going to be my only choice. why cant they just get along.
thanks, Tyler

It sounds like you are free feeding. It is not a good idea. You need to be in control of the resources, food, toys etc. You put down their food, allow them 20 minutes to eat and then pick it up. They don't get it back until the next meal time. They will learn to eat up right away. You will need to stay in the room so that you can correct the min pin every time he goes for your boxers food.

Good luck!
