Our little guy still has runny poo. we have added pumpkin puree which makes it solid but we do not think we should have to do this all the time to get solid poo. 90% of the time his poo i runny. we give him the following, pork loin, pork but, chicken breast, chicken quart, chicken wings, ground pork, lamb, beef, eggs, mackerel, potatoes, carrots. we mix it up but he does not seem to take to it. My girlfriend and i are debating. do we try cooking the food next or give up the idea of RAW and go to premium dog food if we can find it out here. Any ideas sorry i do not want to give up hope but i think my little guy can not handle RAW

In all that you have listed there may be something that does not agree with him. Maybe start by removing one item at a time to see if he has an alergy to this particular food.

Good luck.

Also on a side note i am in Taiwan so what i can get is limited to a certain extent.

I pay roughly 100USD every 2 weeks for deacon's food. so that is 200USD a month.

I can get online 4 bags of Innova EVO for 25USD a piece at 13.2 lbs. that would put me at 52.8 lbs for 100USD and shipping to California is 80USD. and to Taiwan my shipping is free by the company. If i give deacon 2 cups a day that is 1lb a day so in theory i should get about 50 days worth of food for deacon before i need to purchase more bags. this would save me around almost 200USD a month and he will hopefully get solid poo. Is this too extreme?

I have tried that. I did just chicken breasts for 2 weeks. and the other meats and so forth and that did not work.

If he has had this condition for 8 months, do you not think its time to get him checked out. I am sure that he does not feel too hot if he constantly has the runs.

well the dog food out here at most stores is hills diet and i am not too keen on that dog food. He gets checked out every month there is nothing with his stomach or anything he is healthy. would cooking the food possibly change things? can i mix it up or something. should i stick to one day all chicken then next day all pork and so forth?

If you'd like to give homecooking a try, I'd suggest buying a book called "Natural Health for Cats and Dogs" by Dr Richard Pitcairn. That has a lot of good information in it (general health and care) and also quite a number of recipes for homecooking that would probably make things much easier for you.

Well we just found a shop out here that sells orijen adult food. that is the 6th ranked food in the 6 star area from the website. for a 30lb bag it is 70USD. I am going to buy a small bag and give that a try and see how he reacts to it. IF he does well then i am just going to stick to that it will save me 120USD a month on food.

I will go and have his stool checked again at the hospital just in case the vet did miss something. Right now i bought a 5lb bag of orijen food. I am going to see how he does for a week on this. If this does not work then i am going to go full force with him at the vet. I just want the little guy to not have runny poo. This morning at 5 am for the first time in 4 months he let loose in the bed room. so that is what got me to thinking about changing his diet. but if this food does work. I am happy cause the guy said he will give me a good price if i buy from him the large bags. I am willing to do whatever it takes for him

well after 3 days on this new food Deacon has changed dramatically. His stool is solid. He is even more hyper than before. So we are going to stick to this dog food. since there is no grain in it and it is a 70/30 mix we feel this will benefit him more than us giving him limited range of RAW. thanks for your help and advice.
