Boxer Insane
DH and I went out of town Friday night and came back Saturday late afternoon. When we went to pick Darby up at Grandma and Grandpa's (In-Laws) they told us Darby had eat some cookies... Like 25 cookies :eek: FIL went into town Saturday morning and got 26 fresh cookies from the bakery. Well, Darby was with him and after he picked the cookies up he stopped at the local hardware store. When he got back to the car there was only about 1 cookie left! I guess the smell of fresh baked cookies and being alone in the car was just too tempting 
They called the vet in town (Who I do NOT like) and they just said "She is big enough... She will be just fine". She was sick the rest of the day. So we picked her up Saturday about 4pm and she would not eat and was drinking a ton. Sunday morning I gave her 1/2 her morning food and she eat it and was still drinking a ton. Sunday afternoon she was very sick and I had not seen her go #2 since we had picked her up. I called my vet on Monday morning and they got me right in. Her liver levels are very high (Norm is between 10-100) and she is 423 and her kidney level is on the high side but still in range. He also said she was very dehydrated and boarder line needing an IV for fluids. She is on 2 meds for the next 30 days. He said her kindey levels still might go up and to keep a close eye on her for the next few days... If she is not back to her old self he will want to see her again. She is still pretty sleepy and not her crazy self. I sure am hoping the meds kick in very soon and my baby will be ok!

But she will be on meds for the next 30 days. I really do love my vet... They are small animal only and seem to truly care about our babies and understand they are not just pets 
. I am just in shock she did something like this. We have many times went and picked up food with Darby and never once has she even went to the back of the car to sniff the food. I do not blame the In-Laws at all. Darby has always been trusted around food, so they too would have never guessed she would do something like this. So needless to say Darby is grounded for 1 month :eek: Thanks again
