13 week olds tail

I have a question I hope someone can help me with. Cashew is my 13 week old female pup. Her tail was done when we got her ( at 10 weeks ) . Over the past week she has been twisting herself in odd positions and trying to chew on her "stubbie". She has managed to get it a little irritated. Is there anything I can put on it to make her stop. She has a vet appointment on Monday for shots, I'd like to hold out till then. She was fine for the first two weeks. This is a recent development. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Aw poor thing! Her tail is probably itchy because it's healing. Do you have an e-collar that she can wear? That should help keep her away from her tail.

I guess I'll have to get another e-collar, the one I have is for a 50ish pound dog.... I don't think it will do much for my 20 pounder....Thanks for the info!
