someone gave me a great idea with regards to wood floors. a friend on mine trained her boxers to wear socks. she buys them in the baby department and she says that she doesn't have any scratches when her babies wear the socks. the only draw back is they loose thier footing. she does occasionaly...
pergo floors are not worth what you pay. to buy and install pergo is the same price as tile and only has 15-20 year guarentee. tile has a lifetime warrenty
is there a stuffed animal that can handle a boxer? tessa has gone through a "bo-bo" (loufa dog) in 2 days and a "big mean kitty" (heavy canvas) in 5 days. stuffed animals are really the only toys she likes. i am looking for something that is going to last more than a week or and i just going to...
i was just wondering if anyone elses baby is a couch potato. if i let tessa she would be on the couch 24-7. i thought boxers were supposed to be hyper.
Where in the GTA?
I live in Florida but visit my family quite a bit in Etobicoke. It would be nice to have a contact up there for that "just in case" situation. Welcome to BW.
Well today i finally caved in drove the 70 miles to the dog park. What an experience that was. At first it was the most wonderful thing. Tessa was burning all over. She actually engaged another boxer girl for run and play (so unlike her), we are still coming out of our shell. She allowed total...
I am looking for suggestions in regards to exercise for tessa. Taking her on long walks is difficult for me due to my health. I have thought about taking her to a dog park, but we don't have any locally. I think the closest one is about 60 miles away. My vet told me to use the local baseball...
magnetic dog doors
i have seen dog doord that hav magnets on them. they only way they open is if the dog is wearing the other half of the magnet on their neck. you can get more than one for ach of the dogs. this way they still can come and go as they please and no one else gets in. imagine it...
tessa has been very slow at coming out of her shell. this evening i had her in my neighbours fenced yard and she finally did her first "burn". I was so happy i was crying. i just wanted to share with everyone that slowly but surely she is becoming a true boxer. thanks for letting me share my...
frosty paws have been on the market for about 15 years now. the nutro desserts are great (i personally tried them). all four flavours rock. the only thing is make sure you "mush" before serving. i made that mistake and tessa ate it whole.
a boggle
my friend has a mutt he adopted from the local shelter. it is a beagle boxer mix. with all the "designer" dogs out there. i said you should not call him a mutt, but crossed the names and came up with boggle... we both just laughed
i have seen at the local pet store a little box that hangs off the collar that electronicly repels fleas and ticks....i would look into that. personally i use revolution, because it covers just about everything and with tessa suffering the way she has in the past it is not worth going natural...
at what ag do you see the muzzle turning gray? tessa's muzzle is 50/50 mix now. the rescue said she is 4 to 6 years old. with this in mind i am thinking she is closer to the 6 year mark.. what are your thoughts?
