At about what age does a male begin to lift his leg to pee?

My boy didn't start until shortly after his second birthday. I had gave up on him ever lifting his leg. When he finally did lift his leg I had to run into the house and tell my husband.

Yup, Bishop squats and when we go walking that is only time he will lift his leg.

Tucker does both. He was 18 mos when I adopted him & he was lifting his leg then

We got Diezel @ 18months too. He has always lifted his leg.
He is a very macho dog though. At least around guys.
Around females (human or canine) he drops the competitive attitude and gives them space.

Bode is 5 1/2 and rarely cocks his leg. Tank is 11 months and he does about 30% of the time.
