Stunned! Opinions on Boxers 'n newborns?!

Don't worry about your Boxer with your new baby My Mom and Dad bought a 6 week old Boxer when My Mom found out she was pregnant with me. That dog became my first best friend, guardian and protector, and I have remembered her fondly all of my life. I could fall on her as a toddler, and would...

    Boxer Traits

The most wonderful breed It is clear to me after reading many posts here, along with my own personal experience that the Boxer is unique to the canine world. My husband had never had any experience with one, and he was a little wary when I first picked Victor up. But I had wanted another Boxer...

    Boxer Traits

Same here for most "boxer traits". Victor is sometimes, "Victor Wigglebutt", but the kidney bean dance fits! He is a cuddler, too, and gives boxer kisses and hugs when asked. He puts his head over my shoulder and kind of hugs with his chest and neck. He uses his paws as an aid a lot, boxes...

What is your Dog's Favorite Treat

Victor LOVES just about everything! He keeps all the windowsills free of bugs, he has even learned to tell the difference between the "stinging" ones, he paws them and mauls them first. He is a huge chow hound. Would have been an expert "counter-surfer" but I broke him of that, unless it's...

Do you think your boxer would attack!!!

Victor would. Victor is a gentle giant, at 10 months old he is 58 lbs. He normally likes everyone, but we have had a couple of "questionable" visitors stop to ask for directions, and once, Victor's hair raised in a stripe down his back, and the bark was much more gutteral. I'm honestly not...

    Hey Boxer Lovers

I almost forgot... Tyson probably DOES remember you. They have very keen memories, even meeting someone one time, they will remember them I have found. If you had him for his first year, he would remember you. Also, they are a very accurate judge of people as a rule.

    Hey Boxer Lovers

I have this same problem.... We live on 12 acres, but when I let Victor out of the fenced yard, (we had to put one in just for him) he heads for the barn to visit the cats, and horses. But the barn is much closer to the highway, and he runs all around and will not come to me. Boxers can be...

New to Boxers! What a great breed!

A Great Breed!!! You made a wise decision to get a Boxer for your family. They are at their best with children I think. When I was just 3 yrs old, we had a boxer, Vicky. She was the same age as me. Once when I wandered into the small street where we lived in Torrance, Ca, a neighbor lady...

Hi all, I am a boxer lover. I was born into a family with a Boxer. Vicky became my first love, unfortunately my parents were unable to keep Vicky, and when I was 6, she moved to a farm in Southern California. Now, I finally have another Boxer, Victor. I am sure he was meant for me, we seem to...
