I think unfortunately Sansal has hit it right on the head - too often female Boxers just don't get along. As a whole, its a matriarchal breed and only one can be in charge but, with females, I believe they will both keep trying and I'm afraid someone could get hurt in the process, either kids...

When you say her paws are pink do you mean as in swollen and irritated? Does she chew at her paws a lot? What kind of dog food is she on? I had friend whose dogs would constantly gnaw at its paws until they were raw and sore and I suggested trying a different dog food, one without grains...

There is also a product called Musher's Secret that is a special type of wax to rub on their paws that is supposed to help protect their paws from the snow/ice. I have never tried it but I've seen people use it at the dog park and swear by it.
