    Large growth on Apollo's lip

Hi all, Been quite some time since I have been on the boards. I'm concerned about a growth that I recently noticed on my 12-year old, Apollo. I have attached a picture. I plan on taking him to the vet and having it checked out. Apollo doesn't seemed phased by it as he still eats and drinks...

    Seeking possible dry food alternative?

Hello All, It's been quite some time that I have been on the forum and I hope all of my old furry friends are doing well. :) I had a quick question regarding dry food and any possible relation to it causing a dog to shed more than hair than normal? I've fed Apollo the Solid Gold line of...

8 month old boxer goes nuts when vistors come in

start by teaching him not to jump up on anyone. then progress to teaching him the "long stay" with various distractions. then gradually move on to having him go to a spot and wait to be released and approach new guests properly. but keep in mind that at only 8 months of age, you cannot expect...

    Crate Help...

could you please give more details? when you say "she refused to go back in her crate" what do you mean? your dog should not be given the option to choose to go in the crate. when they were givn the chance to relieve themselves outside, and did not do so, she should have been immediately...

    Frustrated boxer owner

i agree. and i would also add that making sure he gets plenty of exercise before being crated and giving him some chew toys, such as a kong, to keep them occupied when left in there should help distract him from getting bored or destroying his crate.

destroying wire crate (kinda long sorry)

we can address the breaking out problem, but i just wanted to ask if they still have any accidents while in the crate? at nine months, they shouldn't be having ANY accidents at all in the crate, unless they are being kept in there for extremely long periods of time and simply cannot hold it...

    My Baby hates his crate!

even though your situation does not present a need to crate your dog very often, or for very long periods of time, it is still a good idea to get your dog accustomed to being in a crate so when the situation arises they are not so stressed out due to being in a new environment. try leaving...

My dog gets agressive when he's in the car

do you have a large enough vehicle to place them in a crate while traveling? the use of the crate will limit there visibility and lead to a calmer dog and ride. if not, you might try covering up the rear windows so that they cannot see outside, and take a few rides around the block. you...
