It was as though he wanted to walk on his knuckles. His tendons were over long for the muscle, the vet said. To say the least, it was frightening to see!
I have seen this before in a litter , my vet's comment no jumping off steps etc. & no calcium supplements, over a well balanced, too much calcium in the diet can produce this temporarily, but with proper care will go away. good luck
Thank you! He's a perfectly healthy boy now. After weeks of physical therapy and restricting his activity so he wasn't entirely worn out and the muscles too tired, he's perfect. We imagine now that it was part of the growth spurt - his tendons got long and allowed his leg to fold over.
