Hi:

Since this is our first boxer, there are a few Boxer terms that I am unfamiliar with and would like some information or explanation.

First of all, I hear the terms "kidney bean", "kidney beaning", etc - what exactly is that? :)

Also, in some descriptions, I see "flashy" or "plain" before the fawn or brindle color. What does "flashy" mean?

Thanks so much for your time explaining these terms to me......

Kidney beaning is the little happy dance boxers do for you when you come home. They turn their bodies into a "C" shape and you swear their little nubby tails are going to poke their own eyes out!

Flashy is the white on a fawn or brindle boxer. The white collars and boots, etc. and the sometimes white muzzles and so forth are called "flash."

Hope this helps some, and Welcome!!

Excellent! Thank you for letting me know! I have seen him kidney bean but didn't know that was the name of it.....LOL.

I guess Charlie is a flashy brindle then because he has white on his face and also white boots. :)

Thank you!

I see that your question has been answered, but I had to post a reply because I noticed that you nad I have the same name, which is VERY unusual. You are a female, correct? Welcome Cori! :) I hope you love it here at BoxerWorld!

Wow, we do have the same name.....the unusual part is that we spell it the same way! Yes, I am a female. Cori is short for Corinna which is my full name. :)

Thanks for the welcome!
